About the Business

Patri Indian restaurant evokes the tastes and aromas of foods found at India’s iconic railway stations and onboard its epic train journeys.

Founder, Puneet Wadhwani (also founder and creative director of independent street food restaurant, Chai Naasto Hammersmith), has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station, and of those he remembers eating onboard India’s great rail journeys.

From rail side snacks, such as ‘girlfriend chaat,’ cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, ‘rara gosht,’ cooked on board. Patri’s menu centres around the distinct culinary journeys of India’s historic railway stations.
