About the Business
Our charming building sits in Edinburgh’s historic Grassmarket – once a space where farmers brought their hay and other produce to sell - and while you might not guess it from the warm atmosphere in the pub today, our history is somewhat macabre… During the 18th century, the area around our building was also home to one of the city’s main gallows, with crowds regularly gathering to watch public executions.
